Reports- We often find that QuickBooks users are unable to create reports that they need, or even if successful, information is missing. QuickBooks is quite simply a relational database, and as such it contains sets of databases that relate (interact) with one another. It contains many pre-constructed reports for the most popular, most demanded summaries of the data it contains. Filters are included that allow you to customize the results. However, there are still reports QuickBooks simply cannot create. Fortunately, since QuickBooks is a relational database, it is possible to extract the data using 3rd party software such as Excel, Crystal Reports, and other similar software. Forms- Quickbooks includes several templates for typical accounting forms such as invoices, purchase orders, bills, etc. These forms can be customized to suit your needs with fairly sophisticated, integrated form design tools. In addition, you can create form letters and documents in Word that will insert data that is contained in QuickBooks. Custom labels and envelopes can also be created.
