Microsoft Office Training
White Crossroads offers beginner to advanced one-on-one computer training for the following Microsoft Office applications:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Publisher
- Outlook
- OneNote
- Access
They offer training for both Microsoft Office 2003 and Office 2007 - and especially for those folks still transitioning between the two. If you are new to 2007, having trouble finding anything? Wishing the Spell Check button was easier to find? You are not alone, and they can help!
Internet & Email Training
White Crossroads offers Internet and Email training for folks of all ages, for home or business use or just to learn a little bit more about how to get around online.
They cover computer basics, browser choices, search engines (how to find what you're looking for online), how to save and print from the web and more in their one-on-one or group Internet training sessions.
Not sure how to make an email account? They can help you select the best email for you, whether you're looking for something simple and functional or whether you are looking for the best and most innovative, snazzy email available (which would be a Gmail account).
And if you want to get really fancy and you have an email service like Google, they can talk about how to share documents with other folks in real time, or how to share and connect calendars with your family, friends or co-workers.
White Crossroads even offers full email account setup and services - just ask them how!
Web Design Training
White Crossroads Web Designs adapts their web design training to your existing website, if you have one. You might have a site that was built in a Dreamweaver CS3 template, so they'll recommend that you purchase Dreamweaver CS3 or newer for maximum compatibility. Or you might have a site that was built using your host's specific software, like GoDaddy's Website Tonight or 1&1's Site Builder.
For new websites or for web designers, White Crossroads suggests that you use Dreamweaver CS4, CS3, or any other version. Mac or PC. Then SharePoint Designer or Microsoft Expression Web. And yes, they can also support FrontPage, but they strongly recommend Dreamweaver or SharePoint Designer instead, and they'll be happy to explain why, just ask!
White Crossroads encourages the use of templates and CSS, and offer in-depth training on both. In the long run, they're most efficient for your website needs.
They also offer Joomla training, Flash, PhotoShop, Illustrator and various e-commerce shopping cart systems. Inquire for specifics. Their coding staff can providing training and support for a variety of coding languages, including PHP, ASPX, Java and so forth. Let them know what your project is, and they'll be happy to see if they can help.
